PHILLIPS LYTLE PARTNER TODD A. RITSCHDORFF TO RECEIVE NORMAN S. RICE ARTS, CULTURE, AND EDUCATION AWARD AS FOUNDING MEMBER OF ALBANY BARN
Albany, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle Partner Todd A. Ritschdorff will receive the Norman S. Rice Arts, Culture and Education Award as one of the founding board members of Albany Barn, Inc. The award will be presented at the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District’s Open Gallery Garden Party on Friday, September 6th, at 5:30 p.m. in Liberty Park.
Mr. Ritschdorff joined Albany Barn, Inc.’s board of directors in 2009, and helped lead the nonprofit’s successful efforts to establish an incubator for creative economy-based enterprise and community art center called the “Barn” by repurposing a vacant school building in the City of Albany’s Arbor Hill neighborhood. The Barn consists of 22 affordable live/work apartments and more than 13,000 square feet of highly subsidized private and collaborative “maker” suites, as well as ample exhibition, performance, and programming space.
Mr. Ritschdorff concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, including workouts and reorganizations, as well as commercial and equipment finance litigation. As part of that practice, Mr. Ritschdorff also advises clients with respect to collection and judgment enforcement matters.
