Energy Law-Speaking Engagements-2022-04-28-Nason Kimberly

Phillips Lytle partner, Kim Nason, recently spoke at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Buffalo/WNY

AIA Buffalo/WNY has partnered with Phillips Lytle LLP and Sustainable Comfort for a discussion on the nation’s most aggressive Climate Law and its impact on future High Performing and Low Carbon emission buildings.

The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (Climate Act) was signed into law in 2019 as one of the most ambitious climate laws in the world. The law created the Climate Action Council (the Council), which is tasked with developing a Draft Scoping Plan that serves as an initial framework for how the State will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve net-zero emissions, increase renewable energy usage, and ensure climate justice. The discussion was to educate architects and engineers on the Draft Scoping Plan so that anyone interested can provide their comments on the plan before the comment period ends on June 10, 2022.
