Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Anna Mercado Clark led a panel discussion October 18 on creating and strengthening anti-racist institutions. Presented by the Philippine Consulate General of New York (PCGNY), the Filipino American Lawyers of New York (FALA NY), the Filipino American Legal Defense and Education Fund (FALDEF), the Rutgers University School of Law and the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law, the event was titled “Building Anti-Racist Institutions: Free Speech, Inclusion and the Rule of Law.”

Held in recognition of Filipino American History Month, the panel featured Rose Cuison-Villazor, Esq., Interim Dean, Professor of Law and Chancellor’s Social Justice Scholar at Rutgers Law School, and Eduardo Capulong, Interim Dean and Professor of Law at the City University of New York School of Law, who are currently the only known Filipino American law school deans in the United States.
