Clark, Panelist, AABANY 2022 Fall Conference

Anna Mercado Clark participated as a panelist at the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) 2022 Fall Conference. The presentation, titled “Prejudice, Ageism, and Harassment: How to Navigate Challenges and Support Others Throughout Your Career,” discussed how attorneys at every level of experience have to manage professional challenges that often feel very personal, not least of which may involve prejudice (due to race, appearance, gender, marital or parental status, or other bases), and/or harassment, which may be overt, or subtle but pervasive. This panel aimed to make space for meaningful discourse on how these issues may arise, how colleagues can recognize when these issues arise and how they can be effective allies, and practical ideas on how to navigate and even overcome these challenges.
