Clark, Panelist, ABA International Litigation Skills Conference

team-member
Panelist: Anna Mercado Clark

Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Anna Mercado Clark participated in a “master class” discussion on cross-border privacy and privilege challenges at the American Bar Association’s First Annual International Litigation Skills Conference.

The two-day virtual conference, presented by the ABA International Law Section, focused on both the core skills of international litigation and developing issues.

Ms. Clark’s panel, titled “Privacy Versus Discovery: GDPR, the Electronic Information Storage Act and Other Issues,” covered complications stemming from the implementation of GDPR and the completion of the Brexit process, including the conflicts that can exist in discovery proceedings involving U.S. and U.K. courts. Ms. Clark and the other panelists will offer insights into navigating jurisdictional differences in privacy and compliance requirements, electronic evidence, court rules and sanctions, and other matters.
