Town Hall on Buy America and Other Regulatory Compliance Matters

The Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program includes a Buy America requirement that directs providers to source 55% or more of material from the United States. Industry leaders have expressed concern that these requirements may put an impossible burden on the program. More and more fiber-optic cable plants are locating and offering “Made in America” materials, but will it be enough?
