PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER KELLY E. MARKS TO SERVE AS PANELIST AT ASSOCIATION OF FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONALS EVENT “FROM NAMING RIGHTS TO QUID PRO QUO: FUNDRAISING RULES YOU NEED TO KNOW”
Amherst, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Kelly E. Marks will serve as a panelist at the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Western New York Chapter event titled “From Naming Rights to Quid Pro Quo: Fundraising Rules You Need to Know.” The event will be held on Wednesday, December 6th at the Hyatt Place, 5020 Main St., Amherst, NY at noon. Ms. Marks will present on “Tax Reform and Philanthropy: How Changes in Federal Tax Law May Impact Charitable Giving.”
Ms. Marks practices in the area of taxation of exempt organizations, as well as joint ventures, and partnership and corporate tax.
Ms. Marks has experience in providing tax advice to exempt organizations, including hospitals, educational organizations, scientific research institutions, and health maintenance organizations, regarding joint ventures, tax-exempt financings, formation and application for exempt status, and general tax regulatory compliance. She has also advised exempt organizations on not-for-profit governance issues.
