PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER JOHN G. SCHMIDT JR. ELECTED TREASURER OF UNYTS DONATE LIFE AND RE-ELECTED TO A SECOND THREE-YEAR TERM ON BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Buffalo, N.Y. – John G. Schmidt Jr., a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, a premier regional law firm recognized nationally for legal excellence, has been elected treasurer of the Upstate New York Transplant Services (“UNYTS”) Donate Life Board of Directors. Mr. Schmidt was also re-elected to a second three-year term on the board of directors.

UNYTS’s mission is to enhance and save lives through organ, eye, tissue and blood donation while maintaining respect for those who give the Gift of Life.

Mr. Schmidt concentrates his practice in the areas of business disputes, commercial litigation, employee disloyalty and workplace fraud, federal practice, business torts, elder fraud, technology litigation, e-discovery, white collar/government investigations defense, FDCPA defense and class action defense.
