PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER JEFFREY B. SCHWARTZ NAMED TO SARATOGA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ADVANCE SARATOGA STARTUP ADVISORY TEAM

Albany, N.Y. – Jeffrey B. Schwartz, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, was named to Saratoga Economic Development Corporation’s (SEDC) initial Advance Saratoga Startup Advisory Team to mentor early stage businesses. The team supports SEDC’s mission to promote, retain and grow talent, investment and job opportunities.

The Advance Saratoga Startup program was shaped over the course of 2016 culminating in an initial teaming agreement with Clarkson’s Shipley Center. With the announcement of the professional Advance Saratoga Startup Advisory Team, SEDC is taking its next step toward launching its initial virtual platform to grow new businesses.

Mr. Schwartz concentrates his practice in banking and corporate law, including venture capital transactions, equity/asset acquisitions and dispositions, and general corporate counsel services. He regularly works with startups, and technology and emerging growth companies through all stages of their growth, from formation through dealings with venture financing and other capital raising initiatives. In addition to his experience with such clients, Mr. Schwartz represents various capital providers, from angel investors to venture capital funds. He also represents a number of borrowers and banks/institutional lenders in connection with varied forms of financing, including secured and unsecured credit facilities.
