PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP ELECTS SIX ATTORNEYS TO THE FIRM’S PARTNERSHIP
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP attorneys Anthony Joseph Iacchetta, Nickolas Karavolas, Ryan A. Lema, Jeffrey M. Monaco, Rosa Alina Pizzi, and Nicolas J. Rotsko have been elected to become partners in the firm as of January 1, 2019.

Anthony Joseph Iacchetta, based in the firm’s Rochester office, focuses his practice in the area of commercial real estate, with particular focus on mortgage and tax lien foreclosures. His experience includes representation of tax liens purchasers, servicers, and various municipalities across New York State in tax enforcement.
Nickolas Karavolas, based in the firm’s New York City office, practices in the area of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, including representation of secured and unsecured creditors, indenture trustees, and committees. He has experience in various in-court and out-of-court financial restructurings. He also has experience in secured and asset-based financings as well as real estate commercial transactions. In addition, Mr. Karavolas has experience representing defendants in complex commercial litigation matters.
Ryan A. Lema, based in the firm’s Buffalo office, concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, commercial torts, and shareholder disputes. Mr. Lema also has experience litigating product liability, workplace accident, and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Lema also advises clients on a variety of government investigation and regulatory compliance matters. Mr. Lema has experience briefing and arguing appeals in both federal and state courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Appellate Division, Fourth Department.
Jeffrey M. Monaco, based in the firm’s Buffalo office, focuses his practice in the area of banking and financial services, concentrating on secured transactions, commercial real estate finance, asset-based finance, and small business lending.
Rosa Alina Pizzi, based in the firm’s Buffalo office, concentrates her practice in the area of banking and financial services. Her experience includes representation of global financial institutions, non-traditional lenders, and borrowers with respect to secured and unsecured credit facilities, community development transactions, real estate and construction lending, syndicated lending facilities, and distressed financing transactions, as well as other extensions of credit.
Nicolas J. Rotsko, based in the firm’s Buffalo office, focuses his practice on high-stakes, complex litigation between private businesses and against state, local, and federal governments, including contract disputes, constitutional violations, and challenges to agency action. He provides strategic counseling that integrates the firm’s litigation, regulatory, corporate, banking, tax and government affairs capabilities to achieve clients’ objectives. Mr. Rotsko is Team Leader of the firm’s Government Contracts Practice.
