PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP ATTORNEYS ANTHONY J. IACCHETTA AND NICKOLAS KARAVOLAS TO SPEAK AT NATIONAL TAX LIEN ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Rochester, N.Y. –Phillips Lytle LLP Attorneys Anthony J. Iacchetta and Nickolas Karavolas will speak at the National Tax Lien Association (NTLA) Annual Conference. The event will be held February 28 – March 2 at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Mr. Iacchetta and Mr. Karavolas will host a Learning Lab which will explore two federal statutes (Bankruptcy Code and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act) that may have an impact on tax lien enforcement in jurisdictions across the US with respect to the interest rates that can be charged on said tax liens.
The NTLA Annual Conference is the premier event for the tax lien industry, connecting the most dynamic and influential community of tax lien based professionals. This conference provides 14+ hours of scheduled networking options and 36 breakout session options for educational courses discussing legislative updates, common practices, and current industry trends all over the United States.
Mr. Iacchetta focuses his practice in the area of commercial real estate, with particular focus on mortgage and tax lien foreclosures. His experience includes representation of tax liens purchasers, servicers and various municipalities across New York State in tax enforcement.
Mr. Karavolas practices in the area of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, including representation of secured and unsecured creditors, indenture trustees, and committees. He has experience in various in-court and out-of-court financial restructurings. He also has experience in secured and asset-based financings as well as real estate commercial transactions. In addition, Mr. Karavolas has experience representing defendants in complex commercial litigation matters.
