PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP ATTORNEYS ROBERT V. CORNISH JR. AND RANA JAZAYERLI TO PARTICIPATE IN IIUSA’S 6TH ANNUAL EB-5 INDUSTRY FORUM IN LOS ANGELES
Los Angeles, CA – Phillips Lytle LLP Attorneys Robert V. Cornish Jr. and Rana Jazayerli will participate in the Invest In The USA (IIUSA) EB-5 Industry Forum. The event will be held October 10-11 in Los Angeles, CA.
Mr. Cornish will participate in the panel discussion “Compliance with U.S. Securities Laws” on Day 1. Ms. Jazayerli will introduce the panel discussion “Issue Spotting in EB-5 Legislation for Investors” on Day 2.
Mr. Cornish focuses on litigation, arbitration, regulatory and compliance matters for broker/dealers, investment advisers, hedge funds, commodity firms, institutional investors and family offices in the U.S. and abroad. He represents clients on FINRA and NFA arbitrations and court proceedings. He also represents securities and commodities registrants in connection with enforcement and disciplinary proceedings before FINRA, NFA, CFTC, SEC and state securities regulators. Having previously served as in-house counsel with prominent investment firms, Mr. Cornish provides valuable insight and counseling for clients with complex business management and marketing matters in the investment arena.
Ms. Jazayerli provides counsel on all areas of U.S. immigration law, with a focus on employment-based visas, counseling employers on a broad range of immigration matters, including the hiring of foreign nationals under temporary employment visa categories such as H-1Bs and L-1As. She also advises employers on proper I-9 form compliance and the use of the federal E-Verify employment authorization program.
In addition, Ms. Jazayerli has extensive expertise in the EB-5 Immigrant Investor visa program, providing assistance to individuals seeking U.S. permanent residency through investment, and U.S. companies seeking EB-5 Regional Center designation to allow them to finance job creating projects.
