PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP ATTORNEY PATRICK T. FITZGERALD TO PRESENT AT BAR ASSOCIATION OF ERIE COUNTY CLE EVENT “ENVIRONMENTAL LAW: PRESERVING OUR RIGHTS TO THE WATER”
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle Attorney Patrick T. Fitzgerald will present at the Bar Association of Erie County (BAEC) CLE event “Environmental Law: Preserving Our Rights to the Water” on Friday May 5th. The event will be held at the BAEC at 438 Main Street in Buffalo.
Mr. Fitzgerald will present “Clean Water Act Citizen Suits.” The presentation will cover:
- Expected Increase in Clean Water Act Citizen Suits in response to the Trump Administration
- Commencement and Prosecution of Clean Water Act Citizens Suits
- Defending Clean Water Act Citizen Suits
- Emerging Claims and Trends
Mr. Fitzgerald focuses his practice on environmental law. He counsels clients on environmental and regulatory compliance at both the state and federal levels, including matters related to the State Environmental Quality Review Act, State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, the New York Uniform Procedures Act (environmental permits), and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (federal and New York State programs). In addition, he advises and aids in the defense of clients that are faced with investigation and enforcement proceedings by state and federal agencies, including the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. His experience lends itself to a wide range of environmental regulatory and enforcement issues.
