Phillips Lytle LLP Partner John G. Schmidt Jr. received the Jack Kemp Leadership Award from the Erie County Republican Committee (ECGOP). Mr. Schmidt was honored at an event on Friday, October 26th at the Buffalo Grand Hotel. He is second vice chair, and chair of the Republican Leadership Council of the ECGOP.
The Jack Kemp Leadership Award was established by the Erie County Republican Committee in cooperation with the Kemp family to honor, on an annual basis, an outstanding Republican committed to the principals of capitalism, free markets, and entrepreneurship.
Mr. Schmidt concentrates his practice in the areas of business disputes, commercial litigation, employee disloyalty and workplace fraud, federal practice, business torts, elder fraud, technology litigation, e-discovery, and class action defense. Mr. Schmidt is the co-leader of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Team and active in several civic organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America, Greater Niagara Frontier Council (board member and past president), and Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS) – Donate Life (board member and treasurer).
