Phillips Lytle Attorney Jeffrey D. Coren Extends Tenure of Co-Chair of the Bar Association of Erie County’s International Law Committee
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Senior Associate Jeffrey D. Coren will continue his role as Co-Chair of the International Law Committee for the Bar Association of Erie County (BAEC) for the 2022-2023 year. Mr. Coren was first appointed to this role in 2019.
The International Law Committee promotes the practice and study of international law, such as cross-border and international issues that impact nearly all areas of the law, including business transactions, litigation, intellectual property, tax, employment, estate planning and family law. The committee brings together local attorneys spanning various practice areas to learn about and discuss a broad range of international topics, including cross-border investment transactions, international arbitration, foreign judgment enforcement, trade and immigration. Given Erie County’s proximity to Canada, the committee also collaborates with attorneys and bar associations across the border.
Mr. Coren is experienced in international litigation, including international arbitration proceedings, disputes involving foreign parties, cross-border discovery, customs litigation, and enforcing foreign judgments. He is admitted as a Foreign Legal Consultant in Ontario, Canada and at the U.S. Court of International Trade. In addition to his position with the BAEC, he is also a member of the International Law sections of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, and is actively involved with Law Exchange International.
