Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Attorney Brendan S. Lillis has been named president of the MISSION: IGNITE Powered by Computers for Children Inc. Board of Directors.

MISSION: IGNITE Powered by Computers For Children, Inc. (M:I) was established in 1997. M:I is the first nonprofit agency in New York State, and the second in the nation, to have a core mission specifically to address the digital and technology divide in schools, providing upgraded computers and training. M:I programs have touched the lives of nearly 100,000 at-risk school-age kids.

Mr. Lillis concentrates his practice in all areas of intellectual property law, with particular emphasis on patent preparation and prosecution and opinion work in the software, mobile applications, and electronic arts, and drafting and negotiating technology contracts, including licenses, service agreements, terms of use, and privacy policies. In addition, Mr. Lillis assists clients with a wide variety of data security and privacy issues, including compliance with data privacy regulations such as the GDPR, the development of breach response strategies, defense of regulatory actions, and preparing companies for cybersecurity risks associated with collecting, storing, and processing personal data.
