Toronto, Canada – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Jennifer A. Beckage, CIPP/US, Partner Anna Mercado Clark, and eDiscovery and Litigation Support Manager David Lapresi will serve as panelists at OpenText’s Technology Conference “Enterprise World 2018.” The event, which is expected to draw more than 4,000 attendees, will be held from July 10-12 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada.
Enterprise World is designed to help customers understand how to harness the power of information through extreme automation and insight to become an Intelligent and Connected Enterprise.
Ms. Beckage will participate in the panel discussion on July 11th titled “How InfoSec, Artificial Intelligence, the Cloud, and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) are Changing Corporate Legal.” This panel will explore contemporary thought leadership issues around the nexus of law and technology.
Ms. Clark will participate in the panel discussion on July 11th titled “Why Lawyers Are Adopting AI Faster Than You.” This panel will take a deep dive into the legal use cases, and how technology has revolutionized the legal industry.
Mr. Lapresi will participate in the panel discussion on July 11th titled “How to Speak to Your Attorneys About Data.” This panel will discuss how legal teams collect and analyze corporate data in the contexts of litigation, compliance, and government investigations.
As the firm’s Data Security & Privacy Team Leader, Ms. Beckage’s legal practice is focused on cybersecurity, data breach litigation, risk management, privacy, regulatory law, and law enforcement. As a former technology entrepreneur and executive with a publicly traded company, Ms. Beckage brings a unique perspective to complex commercial litigation and data security matters. Recently, she was named to Cybersecurity Docket’s “Incident Response 30” as one of the top 30 incident response attorneys in the nation.
Ms. Beckage is considered a thought leader in this space and regularly speaks on data security and privacy topics. She leads Phillips Lytle’s team of more than 20 Data Security & Privacy Attorneys across the firm’s footprint. The team regularly identifies and analyzes issues that IT departments might overlook to help put companies in legally defensible positions.
Ms. Clark leads the firm’s e-Discovery and Digital Forensics Practice. Ms. Clark focuses her practice in the areas of business and commercial litigation, including banking/lender liability, and contract and business disputes. She also has extensive experience handling franchise litigation matters and e-discovery issues. Additionally, she counsels clients on best data preservation practices designed to mitigate data security risks, while complying with regulatory and litigation hold requirements. As a former Assistant District Attorney, she also handles white collar criminal matters and investigations.
Mr. Lapresi has more than 20 years of experience in the legal technology field. At Phillips Lytle, he provides direct support advising on best practices regarding e-discovery, including managing document collection, review, and production workflows.
