Phillips Lytle names next managing partner

Phillips Lytle LLP plans to install a new managing partner next year, officials of the law firm said Monday.

Kevin Hogan is a litigator in the firm’s Buffalo office concentrating in environmental and intellectual property law. He is slated to assume the post in January.

“I am excited to work closely with our attorneys and staff to position Phillips Lytle for sustained success,” Hogan said.

Hogan will take over from David McNamara. A commercial litigator also based in the firm’s Buffalo headquarters office, McNamara has served as the 162-attorney Phillips Lytle’s managing partner since 2007.

The Rochester Business Journal’s July 29 list ranked Buffalo-based Phillips Lytle’s 24-lawyer local office—headed by Office Leader Richard Beers—as the Rochester area’s 10th largest law firm.
