Phillips Lytle partner named to FCC committee

Douglas W. Dimitroff, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, has been named to Commission’s (FCC) newly created Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee (BDAC).

Dimitroff, a past president and current board member of the New York State Wireless Association (NYSWA), is among will serve as a representative of NYSWA and will Chair the Model Code for Municipalities working group with the 29-member panel.

The BDAC will meet for the first time on April 21, at FCC Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The inaugural meeting will focus on member introductions and making initial assignments to committee members, and begin discussions on strategies for accelerating the deployment of broadband.

The BDAC will focus on developing specific recommendations on how the FCC can encourage broadband deployment nationwide.

“Being named to the BDAC is a tremendous honor,” said Mr. Dimitroff. “I look forward to constructive discussions as we continue to seek ways to make broadband deployment a reality across the country.”

Mr. Dimitroff focuses in the areas of telecommunications and commercial real estate law as leader of the firm’s telecommunications and project development teams.
