Rochester, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP is proud to sponsor the Rochester Business Journal State of the Region Breakfast titled, “The Evolving Role of Commercial and Community Banks in Upstate New York in 2018 and Beyond,” on Tuesday, March 13th at 8 a.m. at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
The event will provide insight into the business sectors growing rapidly in Upstate New York and the role of the financial services industry in aiding this expansion as banks continue to rapidly evolve. Two distinguished panels, moderated by Phillips Lytle Partner Michael Overmyer, will discuss how technology is changing the financial services industry, as well as the largest businesses in our region.

Mr. Overmyer focuses his practice in the areas of banking and financial services, as well as real estate. He represents financial institutions in complex structured finance transactions nationwide, including financing for affordable housing, new market and historic tax credit projects. In addition, he has experience in financing for affordable housing transactions, which regularly include bond purchases and credit enhancements for tax-exempt bond transactions.
Mr. Overmyer routinely handles secured transactions involving asset-based and commercial real estate financing; revolving credit facilities, mezzanine loans, and loan participations and syndications. His practice also includes representing commercial lenders in public finance transactions.
