PHILLIPS LYTLE PARTNER JOHN G. SCHMIDT JR. TO BE HONORED WITH SILVER BEAVER AWARD FROM GREATER NIAGARA FRONTIER COUNCIL
Buffalo, N.Y. – John G. Schmidt Jr., a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP will be among the 2016 recipients of the Silver Beaver Award from the Greater Niagara Frontier Council (GNFC). Mr. Schmidt will receive the prestigious award at the GNFC Volunteer Recognition Dinner on April 28th at the Millennium Hotel Buffalo. The Silver Beaver Award is the highest distinguished service award a local Council of the Boy Scouts of America can award.
The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 and is a council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.
Mr. Schmidt concentrates his practice in the areas of business and technology litigation, and class action defense. Mr. Schmidt is the co-leader of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Team. He has been on the Greater Niagara Frontier Council BSA Board of Directors since 2006, serving as President from 2014-2015.
