PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP SPECIAL COUNSEL DAVID E. BRONSTON AND BRUCE T. FRANKIEWICH TO HOST WEBINAR ON NEW NY BROADBAND GRANT PROGRAM

Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Special Counsel David E. Bronston and Bruce T. Frankiewich will host a webinar regarding the New NY Broadband Grant Program. The webinar will take place on February 17 at 2 p.m.

On January 1, New York State issued a $500 million solicitation for private sector partners to join the New NY Broadband Program, with a focus on unserved and underserved areas. The program calls for applications for funding to provide access to broadband at speeds of at least 100 Mpbs in most places and 25 Mpbs in the most remote areas, with priority given to applications that will provide broadband to unserved communities, libraries and SUNYaffiliated institutions.

Mr. Bronston focuses his practice on telecommunications infrastructure and has extensive experience with network licensing and the intersection of telecommunications infrastructure with real estate. He has represented public and private property owners nationwide in license agreements, right of way agreements and other access agreements with telecommunications service providers. He has also represented all types of telecommunications service providers and carriers (with a particular expertise in Distributed Antenna System networks) in negotiating franchise agreements with local governments and obtaining all necessary legislative authorizations and administrative licenses, permits and approvals.

Mr. Frankiewich focuses his practice on drafting and reviewing contracts, franchise and ROW agreements, pole attachment and conduit purchase agreements, IRU’s and leases with carriers, wireless co-location agreements, vendor agreements and consulting agreements and transactional work.

Mr. Frankiewich has over a decade of wireless and wireline telecommunications experience. Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, in his position at a national wireless carrier, he negotiated and drafted cell site leases, retail store leases, and advised management on legal and business issues.
