PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER WILLIAM P. KEEFER SPEAKS AT UB SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES’ LEGAL AND MANAGEMENT LUNCHEON
Buffalo, N.Y. –William P. Keefer, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, a premier regional law firm that is recognized nationally for its legal excellence, spoke at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ Legal and Management Luncheon on January 8, 2015.
Mr. Keefer addressed an audience of more than 170 physicians, residents, professors and students on the topics of federal anti-kick back and sunshine laws.
Mr. Keefer coordinates Phillips Lytle’s Health Law Practice Team. He counsels hospitals, physician groups and other health care clients on a broad array of issues, including fraud and abuse, corporate compliance, transactional arrangements, payer audits, agency actions and federal and state court litigation.
He received his J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School and his B.B.A., magna cum laude, from St. Bonaventure University.
Mr. Keefer is chairman of the Bar Association of Erie County’s Health Law Committee, and a member of the Health Law Sections of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Additionally, he is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association’s Fraud and Abuse, Hospitals and Health Systems, Medical Staff, Credentialing and Peer Review Practice groups.
Mr. Keefer also serves as treasurer of the board of directors for SABAH, Inc. and is a member of the Rotary Club of Buffalo, and the Buffalo Rotary Foundation board of directors.
