PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER KENNETH A. MANNING ELECTED TO THE FELLOWS OF THE NEW YORK BAR FOUNDATION 

Buffalo, N.Y. – Kenneth A. Manning, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, a premier regional law firm that is recognized nationally for its legal excellence, has been elected to the Fellows of the New York Bar Foundation.

The Fellows of the New York Bar Foundation are members of the bench and bar who are recognized for outstanding professional achievement, for dedication to the legal profession, and for commitment to the organized bar.

Each Fellow makes a commitment to financially support the goals and objectives of The Foundation through charitable contributions. Fellows also assist the board in identifying potential grant projects and other causes that may benefit from The Foundation’s assistance.

Mr. Manning has experience in bet-the-company corporate and commercial litigation, including dissolution proceedings, employment termination disputes and controversies involving the sale of goods and services. In addition to personal injury and wrongful death claims involving products liability, workplace accidents, negligence and environmental exposure experience, Mr. Manning has prosecuted and defended class actions in both state and federal court. Mr. Manning also has experience in challenges to governmental actions, including taxes and assessments, as well as actions for declaratory relief. Mr. Manning also concentrates his practice in the area of education law and is the leader of Phillips Lytle’s Education Practice Team.

Mr. Manning is listed in The Best Lawyers in America®, named the Best Lawyers’ 2015 Buffalo Bet-the-Company Litigation “Lawyer of Year,” selected for the Upstate New York Super Lawyers® list, 2007-2014, named Top 50 Lawyer, 2011, and listed in Legal Elite of WNY, Business First of Buffalo and Buffalo Law Journal, 2013.

In 2012, Governor Andrew Cuomo appointed Mr. Manning to serve on the Fourth Department Judicial Screening Committee and he was named to the New York State Bar Association Committee on Court Structure and Operations.

A member of the American, New York State and Erie County bar associations, he graduated with his B.S., summa cum laude, and his M.S., from State University of New York at Buffalo Engineering School and received his J.D. from SUNY Buffalo Law School. Mr. Manning has been a member of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute board of directors since 2008 and he serves a vice president of Suneel’s Light Foundation.
