PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER JAMES D. DONATHEN SERVED AS PANELIST AT WESTERN NEW YORK SAFETY CONFERENCE ON TOPIC OF “OSHA CASE STUDIES – THE DO’S AND DON’TS”
Niagara Falls, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner James D. Donathen served as a panelist at the Western New York Safety Conference. The event took place on April 6-7 at Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls. Mr. Donathen participated in a panel discussion on April 7 on the topic “OSHA Case Studies – the Do’s and Don’ts.”
The panel discussed various missteps which companies have taken when confronted with OSHA violations. The discussion included analysis of the ways companies attempt to avoid implementing corrective actions and paying penalties, and the repercussions the companies may face for these actions.
Mr. Donathen has practiced in the area of workplace law and litigation for over 30 years. He handles federal and state discrimination lawsuits and agency charges under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA and the N.Y. Human Rights Law, and investigates and litigates employee disloyalty matters, including covenants not to compete, trade secrets, confidential information and theft of product.
