PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP ATTORNEY ANNA MERCADO CLARK TO PRESENT AT 16TH BIENNIAL FILIPINO AMERICAN NATIONAL HISTORICAL SOCIETY CONFERENCE
New York, N.Y. – Anna Mercado Clark, an attorney with Phillips Lytle LLP and vice president of the Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York, will present at the 16th Biennial Filipino American National Historical Society Conference. The conference is hosted by The Metro New York Chapter of the Filipino American National Historical Society and will be held from June 22-25, 2016, primarily at John Jay College of Criminal Justice located at 524 W. 59th Street in Manhattan.
Ms. Clark will participate in “Justice Denied”: A Reenactment Of Wards Cove Packing Co. V. Atonio (1989). This reenactment of a landmark employment discrimination case will examine the proceedings that led to the Supreme Court’s decision in Wards Cove Packing Co. v. Atonio.
This presentation will feature the Hon. Lorna G. Schofield of the Southern District of New York, Hon. Denny Chin of the Second Circuit and Kathy Hirata Chin, a partner at Cadwalader Wickersham and Taft, as well as members of the Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York as cast members who will tell the story of the Wards Cove workers through narration, reenactment of court proceedings, and historic photographs.
Ms. Clark focuses her practice in the areas of business and commercial litigation including banking/lender liability litigation, and contract and business disputes. As a former Assistant District Attorney, she also handles white collar criminal matters and investigations.
