Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Kristen M. Birmingham Speaks at Ontario Bar Association Institute’s Across Borders Conference
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Kristen M. Birmingham recently spoke on a panel at the Ontario Bar Association’s “Institute Across Borders: Legal Issues and Best Practices for Ontario Lawyers from Around the World” conference. Ms. Birmingham showcased her expertise in mergers and acquisitions, specifically with respect to interacting with local counsel in other jurisdictions. Ms. Birmingham was a featured speaker on a panel titled “How to Effectively Work with Counsel in Other Countries.”
The conference allows seasoned law experts to help new and veteran solicitors and litigators gain insights to assertively guide clients through the intricacies and opportunities of a global world.
Ms. Birmingham’s practice involves a comprehensive range of transactional corporate matters with a particular emphasis on private and public company merger and acquisition transactions for both domestic and international clients across numerous industry sectors. She counsels business entities and their principals on matters relating to formation and organization, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, employment and consulting agreements, supply and distribution agreements, sales representative agreements, non-competition agreements, confidentiality agreements, general commercial contracts, terms and conditions of sale, general corporate governance matters and Hart-Scott-Rodino filings.
Ms. Birmingham graduated cum laude from both Franklin & Marshall College (B.A, 1994) and the Syracuse University of Law (J.D., 1997) and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of Erie County, and the New York State Bar Association.
