Several innovative companies part of awards luncheon

Nfrastructure, CommerceHub and Outmatch will headline the Center for Economic Growth’s 2016 Technology Awards Luncheon on June 23 at the Desmond in Colonie.

Other award winners will be WorkOrder.es, Free Form Fibers and two local tech sector heavyweights, Larry Davis and Richard Honen.

CEG gives out the awards every year to highlight the fastest growing and most innovative companies in the region. Nfrastructure and OutMatch won the Economic Winners awards, while CommerceHub was awarded the Judge’s Choice. WorkOrder.es won the Lift Off award, while Free Form Fibers won for Technology Innovation.

Individuals like Davis, CEO of Commsoft, and Honen, partner in charge of the Albany office of the law firm Phillips Lytle, are also honored. David is getting the Technology Trailblazer award, while Honen will receive the Jeffrey A. Lawrence Lifetime Contributor Award.

Event registration is available through the CEG website. More than 300 people typically attend.

“The impressive nature of this years’ applicants and winners attests to the strength of the region across a variety of vital and robust industries, as well as to a constantly evolving support system that will help sustain the region’s culture of innovation for generations to come,” Michael Hickey, CEG’s interim CEO, said in a statement. “Each one of them having their own unique impact on the region, these companies and individuals harness the spirit of entrepreneurship and their vision will enable the continued transformation of Tech Valley.”
