Students rewarded for artwork
Albany
Phillips Lytle LLP recently commissioned artwork by Albany High School students for the firm’s downtown Albany office.
In total, 18 students from the high school created 12 paintings using materials donated by Phillips Lytle. All the pieces are Albany-themed and will be displayed at the firm’s office located at 30 S. Pearl Street.
Along with the honor of having his work displayed, first-place winner Manny Sanchez received a $100 gift card for his entry “Corning Tower.”
Runners-up Patrizzia Espina and Jessica Johnson received a $50 gift card for their joint work “Albany High School,” as did third-place winner Akili Bahati for “Capitol with Tulips.”
Phillips Lytle Managing Partner Kevin M. Hogan, an Albany High School alum, said he is excited to be able to display the work in their office.
“We are very proud to have collaborated with the school district on this great project,” Hogan said.
