PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER RICHARD E. HONEN TO SERVE AS JUDGE AT 2ND ANNUAL CAPITAL REGION CLASH ONLINE MOCK TRIAL INVITATIONAL
Albany, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle Venture Capital & Technology Team and Albany Office Leader Richard E. Honen will serve as a judge at the 2nd Annual Capital Region Clash Online Mock Trial Invitational. The virtual event – sponsored by the University at Albany and Albany Law School Collaboration Seminar and Conference Fund, University at Albany Student Association and University at Albany Alumni Association – will take place on Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24 via Zoom.
The event promotes collegiality, practice, and experiential training for competitive undergraduate mock trial teams as they prepare for the American Mock Trial Association’s online regional tournament.
The mock trial will cover a fictional case in the State of Midlands. The Midlands Rules of Evidence are modeled based on the Federal Rules of Evidence.
In addition to leading the firm’s Venture Capital & Technology Team, Mr. Honen focuses his practice in corporate, finance and venture capital law, as well as complex commercial litigation. He provides corporate counsel to a broad spectrum of companies from startup to Fortune 50, and has lectured extensively, particularly on the topics of corporate law, venture capital and angel investing.
