PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP ATTORNEY JEFFREY D. COREN NAMED CHAIR OF ERIE COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL LAW COMMITTEE
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Attorney Jeffrey D. Coren was named Chair of the Erie County Bar Association International Law Committee.
The International Law Committee promotes the practice and study of international law. In today’s global environment, cross-border and international issues impact nearly all areas of the law, including business transactions, litigation, intellectual property, tax, employment, estate planning, and family law. This is especially true in Erie County given the area’s close proximity to Canada. The committee brings together local attorneys spanning various practice areas to learn about and discuss a broad range of international topics, including cross-border investment transactions, international arbitration, foreign judgment enforcement, trade, and immigration. The committee also collaborates with attorneys and bar associations in Canada.
Mr. Coren focuses on complex business litigation, shareholder disputes, derivative actions, breach of contract, business fraud, and commercial real estate litigation. Mr. Coren is also experienced in international litigation, including international arbitration proceedings, disputes involving foreign parties, cross-border discovery, import/export administrative penalty cases, and enforcing foreign judgments. He is admitted as a Foreign Legal Consultant in Ontario, Canada and at the U.S. Court of International Trade.
