Michael W. Held

Associate Buffalo

A member of the Litigation Practice Group, Michael provides focused and in-depth counsel on litigated matters involving commercial disputes, immigration law, white collar defense and government investigations.

Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, Michael served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Felony Trials Bureau, Justice Courts Bureau, and Buffalo City Court Bureau for the Erie County District Attorney’s Office. During his tenure as a prosecutor, Michael collaborated and liaised with victims, witnesses, law enforcement, and defense counsel to obtain justice in his cases. He now brings his experience, courtroom advocacy, skillful case strategy and negotiation skills as a prosecutor to the defense of white collar matters at both the federal and state level. In addition, Michael is well-suited for litigating immigration court matters locally and federally.
