Adelyn G. Burns

Associate Buffalo

A member of the firm’s Litigation team, Adelyn focuses her practice on business litigation and cybersecurity matters.

Through her role as a member of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Team, she advises clients on the amendments to 23 NYCRR 500 and the impact that these amendments have on financial service providers. In conjunction with other members of the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Team, she spends ample time researching the changes in this regulation to offer precise and up-to-date advice to clients. Adelyn assists clients who have experienced a data breach, working with the client and third party security vendors to minimize the impacts of the breach as well as help prevent further injury. In addition, she reviews and amends client cybersecurity and technology policies to provide clients with better protection.

Adelyn has returned to her hometown to continue her law career, joining Phillips Lytle from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. She brings a unique perspective to the matters she handles thanks to her prior experience as a forensic laboratory assistant with the Niagara County Sheriff.
