NYSBA Names Phillips Lytle an Empire State Counsel Law Firm Honoree for Pro Bono Work in 2024

Firm recognized by New York State Bar Association for providing over 1,700 hours of pro bono work

Buffalo, N.Y. – The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) has named Phillips Lytle LLP as an Empire State Counsel Law Firm Honoree based on the total number of pro bono hours completed by Phillips Lytle attorneys. These contributions were recognized during the Association’s Annual Justice for All Luncheon held on January 16, 2025.

The Empire State Counsel Program recognizes NYSBA members who, during the prior year, performed 50 hours or more of pro bono legal services either through direct legal representation of a low-income/vulnerable individual, donating free legal services to an organization whose services are designed primarily to address the legal and other basic needs of persons of limited financial means, or providing free legal services to an organization dedicated to increasing the availability of legal services to vulnerable and/or low-income populations.

Attorneys in Phillips Lytle’s Albany, Buffalo, New York City and Rochester offices provided a combined 1,703 hours of pro bono work in 2024. These attorneys included Lauren Adornetto, Samuel Borbor-Sawyer, Molly K.
