Phillips Lytle Welcomes Three New Attorneys

Firm grows its Corporate and Litigation Practice Groups.

Buffalo, N.Y. — Phillips Lytle LLP announced it has added three new attorneys to the firm, strengthening its Litigation and Corporate Practice Groups in its New York City and Buffalo offices.

The newly appointed attorneys include:

• Marc N. Aspis — Special Counsel, Corporate Practice Group, New York City, Buffalo, Garden City
• Joseph L. Mooney — Special Counsel, Litigation Practice Group, Buffalo
• Katerina “Kat” M. Kramarchyk — Senior Associate, Litigation Practice Group, New York City

Marc N. Aspis joins the firm as Special Counsel in the Corporate Practice Group. Marc is a skilled employee benefits and executive compensation attorney who provides counsel related to employment retirement plans, ERISA and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation regulations. He received his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Columbia University. Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, Marc was an employee benefits and executive compensation attorney at Mintz, Levin, Cohen, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.

Joseph L. Mooney joins Phillips Lytle as Special Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Joe has over 30 years of experience representing clients facing complex civil litigation. He has successfully navigated complex product liability, personal injury defense, and commercial and insurance claims, representing designers and manufacturers in high-exposure product liability cases involving medical devices, pharmaceuticals and industrial equipment, among many others. Joe received his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Hamilton College. Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, Joe served as litigation counsel for over a decade for one of the world’s largest banking and financial services institutions.

Katerina “Kat” M. Kramarchyk joins the firm as a Senior Associate in its Litigation Practice Group. She is skilled in pre-litigation assessment, pleadings and motions, discovery, and trial and appellate practice, representing clients in disputes, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, health care and insurance coverage. Kat received her J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School, her M.B.A. from Union Graduate College, and her B.A. from Stony Brook University.
