Mr. Sonner concentrates his practice in the areas of business litigation (including commercial disputes, breach of contract claims, commercial torts, and construction litigation). His practice also includes products liability defense litigation, eminent domain litigation, and real property valuation and tax assessment litigation.

Mr. Sonner has experience representing clients in New York State Courts and in federal district and bankruptcy courts across the country. He also has experiencing managing complex, high-volume discovery matters. Mr. Sonner also regularly assists clients in site inspections and forensic product testing during or prior to litigation.

  • Represented large inventory finance lender in damages-only jury trial against a principal-guarantor which resulted in a $53 million award.
  • Represented industrial equipment manufacturer against claims of negligent safety training which resulted in order dismissing all claims.
  • Represented western New York company against claims brought by New York State Thruway Authority for alleged roadway damages.
  • Represented consumer products manufacturer at multiple site inspections and forensic product tests, resulting in discontinuance of claims.
