Businesses should be aware that ChatGPT lacks judgment of trained attorneys.

Craig Leslie was interviewed for a Buffalo Business First article regarding the Nippon Life Insurance Company lawsuit against OpenAI for unlicensed practice of law after a client used ChatGPT to file motions in court to reopen a case. Craig mentioned an increase in the number of pro se litigants who are using artificial intelligance (AI) to generate legal pleadings, motions and submissions. Clients are concerned that litigation may be multiplied with the use of AI.
