Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Alan J. Bozer, Special Counsel Joshua Glasgow and Attorney G. Michael Seaman will present on the Bar Association of Erie County webinar “CLE: Law Enforcement Accountability: Section 1983 and Excessive Force Claims.” The webinar will take place on Wednesday, June 24th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The attorneys will give a presentation on the topic of “nuts and bolts and a survey of changes in 1983 jurisprudence over the last few years, current judicial and legislative developments.”
Mr. Bozer chairs the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense & Government Investigations Practice Team. He is active in trying criminal and civil cases, and handles appellate and arbitration work.
Mr. Glasgow concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in both civil and criminal cases, including business torts, class actions, contracts, employment and environmental law, as well as First Amendment, habeas corpus and product liability matters. Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, Mr. Glasgow served as Career Law Clerk for Judge Carlos F. Lucero of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.
Mr. Seaman concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, data security and privacy, and white collar criminal defense and government investigations. Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, he served as a Judge Advocate with the U.S. Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan, where he prosecuted criminal cases on behalf of the United States government at felony and misdemeanor level courts-martial as a Special Victims’ Qualified Trial Counsel and as a Complex Trial Counsel.
