Jaran is a seasoned litigator with a reputation for effectively resolving a broad range of complex commercial disputes.

He is recognized by his clients and fellow attorneys for his strong teamwork, and for gaining a deep understanding of his clients’ businesses; he finds it exciting to master a new industry or subject matter.

Jaran represents Fortune 500 companies on mass and toxic tort cases, private equity firms on disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions, distressed companies in bankruptcy litigation proceedings, and an array of clients on sophisticated commercial matters. Jaran’s industry experience includes technology, pharmaceutical, medical and dental devices, energy, telecommunications, retail, containerboard and packaging, petrochemical, and financial services.

Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, Jaran was a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Jaran has always maintained an active pro bono practice and will continue to do so at Phillips Lytle.
