PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER JAMES KEVIN WHOLEY MODERATES DC ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT CONSORTIUM PANEL ON “THE POLITICS OF FINANCE: 2016 ELECTIONS AND THE MARKET”
Washington, D.C. – James Kevin Wholey, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, a premier regional law firm recognized nationally for its legal excellence, will serve as moderator at the DC Alternative Investment Consortium panel “The Politics of Finance: 2016 Elections and the Markets,” on January 13 at the Army and Navy Club on Farragut Square in Washington, D.C.
The panel will discuss the following topics:
- Analysts are fond of the frequent “bounce” in the markets during a U.S. presidential election year. But are such expectations still reasonable in a fluid political and economic landscape that is more interconnected and global than ever before?
- If anything, what will the upcoming elections and Congressional session mean for participants and employees in the alternative investment industry in 2016?
- In focused, high-level discourse, a panel of experienced experts in both government affairs and the financial markets will provide DC-AIC with guidance on what changes 2016 may bring to Washington and Wall Street in terms of legislation, trade and foreign policy.
The DC Alternative Investment Consortium (DC-AIC) is a new thought group created to provide knowledge sharing and interaction among Washington area investment advisers and fund managers in the alternative investment arena. DC-AIC recognizes the unique characteristics and international emphasis of the alternative investment community in the Washington area, and aspires to be a leading organization for industry intelligence and meaningful networking.
Mr. Wholey has broad experience at the intersection of federal government, national security and international business. His specific focus is on the legislative, policy and compliance issues involved in international investment, trade and business development.
