PHILLIPS LYTLE PARTNER DAVID P. FLYNN TO MODERATE AT ACORE U.S.-CANADA RENEWABLE ENERGY FORUM IN NEW YORK CITY

Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner David P. Flynn will be a moderator at the ACORE (American Council on Renewable Energy) U.S.-Canada Renewable Energy Forum on September 22. The invitation-only event will convene a select group of prominent renewable energy executives, investors, corporate purchasers, utilities and other key stakeholders to discuss recent policy developments; identify opportunities for collaboration and cross-border projects, and otherwise work to increase the development of renewable energy in the U.S. and Canada. The event will be held at the Consulate General of Canada in New York.

Mr. Flynn will moderate the panel discussion on “North American Renewable Energy, Infrastructure and Climate Policies.” This discussion will examine key policies influencing the financing and deployment of renewable energy in the U.S. and Canada. Speakers will address the unique resources of each country and how they can be used in a complementary fashion to allow for greater renewable energy penetration and integration.

Mr. Flynn is the Practice Team Leader for the firm’s Energy, Environment, Marcellus Shale, and Nanotechnology Practice Teams With respect to environmental law, Mr. Flynn concentrates on regulatory compliance consultations and brownfield redevelopment. He has written extensively on environmental topics including environmental issues related to nanotechnology development. He was involved in the first successful conversion of a former industrial brownfield into a modern manufacturing facility in New York State. In addition, Mr. Flynn advises clients on business development issues and the regulation of energy before state and federal authorities. He also advises clients on the development and siting of renewable energy, merchant power generating facilities, and licensing of hydropower projects.
