Phillips Lytle LLP Partner John G. Schmidt Jr. to Participate on Panel Titled, “Investigating and Remediating Workplace Fraud and Similar Business Disputes” at the National Association of Credit Management Virtual Legal Symposium

Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner John G. Schmidt Jr. will participate on a panel at the National Association of Credit Management (NACM) Virtual Legal Symposium titled, “Investigating and Remediating Workplace Fraud and Similar Business Disputes.” The event will take place on March 16 and 17, with Mr. Schmidt’s panel being held at 4:00 p.m. on opening day.

Mr. Schmidt’s panel includes Bart F. McGloin, CPA, CFE, of Dopkins & Company LLP, and Peter M. Vito of Peter M. Vito & Associates, Inc. They will address workplace fraud, civil litigation options, securing restitution, interacting with law enforcement, crisis management, insurance coverage, and cyber, forensic and evidentiary issues.

Mr. Schmidt is co-leader of the firm’s commercial litigation Practice Team. He practices in the areas of business disputes and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on shareholder and partnership disputes, employee disloyalty, workplace fraud, business torts and class action defense. He also practices in technology litigation, computer forensics, and white collar/government investigations defense. Mr. Schmidt has extensive litigation experience in state and federal courts, and has been appointed by several courts in complex corporate and personal disputes requiring receiverships, or to investigate and remediate fraud. He serves on the boards of several civic organizations.
