Phillips Lytle Partner Douglas W. Dimitroff to Serve as Moderator at New York State Wireless Association Virtual Workshop, “2nd Buffalo Day for 5G and Wireless Internet of Things”

Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Douglas W. Dimitroff will serve as a moderator at the New York State Wireless Association Virtual Workshop, “2nd Buffalo Day for 5G and Wireless Internet of Things.” The virtual event will be held on Friday, November 20. Mr. Dimitroff will begin the event by hosting a live fireside chat with Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai. Mr. Dimitroff will also moderate the panel titled, “Smart City: Lessons Learned and Future Challenges,” which will take place at noon.

The “2^nd Buffalo Day for 5G and Wireless Internet of Things” event aims at providing a unique forum to exchange innovative research ideas and recent results, and share experiences among researchers and practitioners in 5G and Beyond, the Wireless Internet of Things and mobile systems. The event will consist of a keynote speech, invited talks, and posters/demos from both academia and industry. The 4^th UB SEAS IoT Graduate Program Project Exhibit will also be held in conjunction with the event.

Mr. Dimitroff has more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications matters, representing leading telecommunications carriers, infrastructure providers and numerous other clients involved in the telecommunications industry. His representation has included transactional and litigation matters, such as permitting for wireless telecommunication carriers, tower owners and developers, as well as site leasing work, site development, and asset sales and purchases throughout the U.S. He has particular expertise in distributed antenna system (DAS) and other small cell networks, where he is involved with both business and regulatory aspects. He is a board member and founder of the New York State Wireless Association.
