Rochester, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner David L. Cook will participate in a Rochester Business Journal webinar titled “The Business of Cannabis” on Thursday, June 24, at 10 a.m.
The event, co-sponsored by Phillips Lytle LLP, was organized by the Rochester Business Journal following New York State’s legalization of adult-use recreational marijuana. Mr. Cook and other local experts will discuss the impact of the newly enacted Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act and potential business opportunities within the state’s emerging cannabis industry.
A member of the firm’s Hemp/Cannabis Practice Team, Mr. Cook concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and environmental law and litigation, with a focus on commercial, real estate and agribusiness matters. Mr. Cook is recognized as one of the leading agribusiness lawyers in New York State, having played an integral role in major enforcement actions brought by federal and state regulators against agriculture operators, including major dairy and other agricultural operations, throughout the Northeast. He has represented hemp growers and processors in zoning and land use issues, litigation and regulatory matters.
Registration for “The Business of Cannabis,” can be found on the Rochester Business Journal’s website (link no longer available).
