Jim O’Connor suggests keeping work conversations light.

Discussions among colleagues can range from a variety of topics outside of work-related matters. During election season, it can be hard not to talk about politics, but doing so may have consequences. Jim O’Connor advises employers to get proactive about protecting themselves and their employees from the negative outcomes of those topics that have the potential for heated discussions. Those outcomes could include litigation, discipline for employees and even termination.
