Jennifer A. Shah
Ms. Shah focuses her practice on complex federal, state, multidistrict and international product liability litigation concerning pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biologics. She specializes in all aspects of scientific and regulatory expert witness selection, preparation, testimony, and assertion and defense of evidentiary challenges. She handles depositions, trial testimony and arguments.
Ms. Shah also counsels clients on a variety of FDA regulatory issues, including good manufacturing practices; pharmacovigilance; import/export restrictions; labeling, marketing and advertising practices; recordkeeping requirements; and preemption of state/local law. She has advised clients on matters involving antiemetics, antidepressants, acid-suppressing drugs, vaping products, personal protective equipment and others. Ms. Shah is currently completing a Master’s degree in Regulatory Science from Johns Hopkins University.
Additionally, Ms. Shah also handles product liability litigation involving industrial and consumer products in federal and state courts, as well as commercial litigation, including disputes involving government contractors.
As a member of the firm’s Crisis Response & Management Team, Ms. Shah has presented on crisis planning and has counseled clients on crisis management, privilege issues, and internal and external crisis communications.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Shah served as a trial attorney in the Federal Tort Claims Act Office of the U.S. Department of Justice, where she defended the United States Government in a wide range of tort cases. She also served as a judicial clerk for two federal judges.
