PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP TO HOST LABOR & EMPLOYMENT LAW WEBINAR TITLED, “NEW YORK STATE HUMAN RIGHTS LAW UPDATE”
Buffalo, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP will host a Labor & Employment law webinar titled, “New York State Human Rights Law Update.” The webinar will take place on Wednesday, March 4th from noon to 1:00 p.m. Phillips Lytle Partner James R. Grasso will present.
This complimentary webinar will provide an update on recent changes to New York State law that have dramatically impacted the employment landscape for employers. Attendees will learn about the changes to the New York State Human Rights Law lowering the standard for a hostile work environment, changes to equal pay requirements, changes to employees’ right to paid time off to vote and more, as well as strategies for how to best position your organization in response to these changes.
Mr. Grasso represents management in the private and public sectors in all aspects of labor and employment law. He counsels clients on workplace policies and practices, as well as legal compliance issues, and represents employers in litigation concerning employment discrimination, harassment, wage and hour matters, wrongful termination, employment contract disputes, and confidentiality and non-compete agreements. Mr. Grasso appears regularly before state and federal courts in New York and before federal, state and local administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New York State Division of Human Rights and New York City Commission on Human Rights. His practice also includes representing management in union organizing campaigns and collective bargaining negotiations, and defending management in labor arbitrations and before the National Labor Relations Board and New York State Public Employment Relations Board.
