Robert J. MacClaren

Senior Associate Rochester

With experience in a variety of transactions and structures, Rob acts as a trusted advisor and advocate for his clients, which include institutions of all sizes, including national, regional and community banks and credit unions.

Rob concentrates his practice in banking and financial services law, with a particular focus on low-income housing tax credit financing, including bond and conventional loan transactions. Additionally, Rob is experienced in transactions involving direct and indirect ownership structures, new market tax credits, environmental brownfields, historic tax credits, middle market and small business financing, and SBA and conventional financing structures.

In addition to Rob’s work on the financing side of transactions, Rob also has experience handling town- and zoning-related matters through his work as the zoning board attorney and deputy town attorney for the Town of Gates, New York.
