PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP PARTNER RICHARD HONEN TO SPEAK AT CITY OF WATERLOO-CIGI ILRP INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LEGAL INFORMATION SEMINAR

Buffalo, N.Y. – Richard E. Honen, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, a premier regional law firm that is recognized nationally for its legal excellence, will speak at the City of WaterlooCIGI ILRP Intellectual Property Legal Information Seminar on the topic “Understanding the Fundamentals of Licensing in the Context of Raising Capital from the U. S. Perspective.” The event will be held on Monday September 14 at the CIGI Campus in Waterloo, Ontario. Mr. Honen is head of the firm’s Venture Capital Team.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide a one-day intensive legal information session on intellectual property (IP) to startups in the Waterloo Region. The seminar will be put on by the City of Waterloo and hosted by CIGI, with participation by local IP practitioners/experts.

Mr. Honen focuses his practice in banking, corporate and venture capital law, and commercial litigation. He provides corporate counsel to a broad spectrum of companies with a particular emphasis on emerging growth and start-up companies.
