PHILLIPS LYTLE PARTNER JENNIFER A. BECKAGE TO PRESENT AT IN-HOUSE INNOVATES EAST CONFERENCE IN NEW YORK CITY
New York, N.Y. – Phillips Lytle LLP Partner Jennifer A. Beckage will present at the In-House Innovates East Conference in New York City. The event will be held October 25-26 at The Warwick New York Hotel, 65 West 54th Street in New York.
Ms. Beckage will present the session on October 26th titled, “Ethics & Compliance Cyber Security: Can Security and Privacy Co-exist?” This session will discuss ways companies are addressing ethics and compliance in cybersecurity. The panel will also discuss the cyber defense tools companies are deploying and look at the privacy challenges that these solutions may give rise to.
In-House Innovates East, formerly the 28th Annual General Counsel Conference, addresses the issues of the modern legal business and provides in-house counsel and legal executives with real-world examples and usable takeaways from speakers and peers.
Ms. Beckage concentrates her practice on complex business disputes and commercial litigation involving, among other things, intellectual property, employee disloyalty, violations of non-compete agreements and other employment matters, breaches of contract, fraud matters, food product litigation, government investigations, class actions, and corporate compliance with regulatory bodies.
Ms. Beckage has extensive experience with a variety of technology-related issues, including data breaches, cyber attacks, e-discovery, computer forensics, protection of PHI and PII, crisis planning and data policies, and social media. She has authored and presented on a variety of technology topics. Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Beckage was an owner of a technology-based company, which was sold to a publically-traded telecommunications company.
